Information we collect

We keep data collection to a minimum:

• Account data: if you register, we store your email address, an optional display name, and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in readable form.
• Usage data: bookmarks you save, search terms you enter (to show trending topics), and aggregate article view counts.
• Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type) used for security and abuse prevention.
• Preferences: a cookie remembering your light/dark theme, and secure cookies that keep you signed in.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your theme preference. Where advertising is enabled (see below), third-party advertising partners may also set cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break sign-in.

Advertising

We may display advertising to support the service, including:

How we use your data

We use your data to operate the service, keep you signed in, save your bookmarks, surface trending topics, secure the platform, and (where enabled) display advertising. We do not sell your personal data.

To exercise these rights, contact us and we will respond within the timeframe required by law. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your associated data.

Data retention & security

We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. Passwords are hashed; data is stored on secured infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect it.

Children

This service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
